  • DK Weight Shawl: 2 skeins of any 225 yard (206 m) DK weight yarn

  • Fingering Weight Shawl: 1 skein of any 435+ yard (398+ meter) fingering weight yarn. A 50% Merino/50% Silk blend, such as Squoosh Fiberarts Silky Sock, is highly recommended for maximum size and beautiful drape.

Needles

  • DK Weight Shawl: US 8 (5 mm) 32” (81 cm) or longer circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge

  • Fingering Weight Shawl: US 6 (4 mm) 32” (81 cm) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge

  • DK Weight Shawl: 19 sts and 26.5 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, unblocked

  • Fingering Weight Shawl: 22.5 sts and 33 rows = 4“ (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, unblocked
